Is this promotion tactic allowed?

you can place your aff link anywhere you want as long as you are not spamming. read the blog/forum rules to learn if you can add an aff link.

AdSense can not be on the same page with other contextual ads. Any other ad types are OK.

the contextual advertising is a system that reads the content of the page and then displays ads that are relevant to the page content. Yahoo, AdSense would be good examples. Any banners, text ads that are static can be used on the same page with AdSense. So, you will be fine placing AdSense and your aff ads on the same page.

    Hope this helps.

    Yes you can

Try not just to post a cold link i.e. a visible affiliate link

Use a cloaker or redirect as this looks better

Redirects are also helpful in tracking clicks and also are easy to change should your affiliate link ever need to be modified. Instead of changing it wherever the link appears on your site, you just need to change the redirect code.

Try make a landing page with a good domain name. It helps a lot, and if that affiliate is not selling good you can always change the link without the blog posting (as MorgansMom said)!
