    Is it possible to set the background of a table cell or div as a flash movie and then have another flash movie playing in the table cell or div...

    i.e. a flash movie playing behind a small embedded youtube movie

    No, better idea would be to either call the youtube movie from within your flash movie or have two object tags and use css to stack them one on top of the other.
