Is this possible?

    Hi everyone,

I have re-designed my site recently, but have just come across some browser compatibility issues. My main issue is the fact that if the screen size is decreased, their is huge scroll bars and it looks really ugly - yet if increased, the site becomes almost too tiny to see. I hadn't checked the site in different screen resolutions and was working with 1152 * 864 pixel resolution, now when I change to 800 * 600 or anything like that, the site looks far too big.

Is their a way to change the site so that it simply changes to fit the screen the person is using - rather than making it so large, or so tiny that the person can't view it properly? I simply want the design to fill the same amount of black space on every resolution.

Here is my web design: http://www.melbourneconcierge.com.au/index3.html

I'm happy to pay someone to help me out with this if they can produce what I am after - I'm not sure if it possible though. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers, Rob.

I believe I have heard that it is possible to load different stylesheets using Javascript that checks the browser screen size, but it may be buggy if the user resizes window while browsing website.

Alternatively, you could use a fluid width design instead of a fixed width design to show the same amount of black space (ie 25% on each side).

I am using a 1600x1200 resolution and your site looks fine my screen. A lot of the widescreen users don't browse full-screen. I don't think your site would be too large on an 800x600 screen, as they are generally smaller screens.
