    Hi everyone

On a site I designed I have clocks coming from Worldtimeserver showing world times.

But these have a link back to worldtime server

I am wondering if its possible to vreate a banner which will have clocks in it showing the time from around the world. I want the clock to be animated so its actually moving and displaying the time from 4 or 5 major cities around the world

    is this possible

    thanks as always guys

create a banner showing time from around the world??
wow, I don't think it's possible.. I mean, it IS possible, but it would take LOOTS of time, because you'll have to create each frame. lol.

You could, however, create a script that can do that. Not sure how, but I think a script can do that.

    Cheers,
    Oki

    thanks lol

looks like I will stick with the clocks from worldserver

I have seen it done in flash

I am wondering if it would be difficult for a flash programmer

I might see about paying somedoy to do it for me

    Hi,

Yes, it can be done using flash, I did around ten of these for a customer once.

Pm me if you decide that you'll pay for the job :D

Yeah that can be done actually very easily but you need to know how to code Flash images and frames. I can do it also if you would like.

You need both flash *and* a server side script to do it properly. Flash on it's own takes the time from the users system clock, which of course isn't necessarily accurate. If you load the time from a known accurate source on the web e.g a server's time which is synced to a timeserver then your swf will always be accurate.

This is rubbish. Local computers time are accurate, and Flash can also return universal time, to which you can add time zones.

    Hi,

I will do you a favour and tell you where to find what you want for very cheap:

    Go to this site
Use the search facility and type "clock"
You will find many of them and I'm sure I have seen exactly what you need for about $5, can't get much cheaper than that!;)
