Is this possible with JQuery and CSS?

    Hello I want to make a web app which allows the user to place nodes and then connect them together to show data flow.

    Below is an image of what I mean, so you place these nodes and then you can connect them up by clicking on the end tips of either node. (split and join as well)

    Would this be possible with jQuery? If so does anyone know of something similar or someone working on this so I can bounce some more specific ideas off them?
