Is this ok?

    Hello Shawn, Bob and Anthony

I might sound stupid but it's better asking rather than stay stupid all throughout my life.

I work as an SEO and have previously been working as a web researcher so Link Buidling was easy to start with. Initially during work hours I was a bit slow. In the weekends I trained myself in finding link partners. Now I'm able to find 100-150 link partners in a day for a particular theme. Is this good or still slow?

I never ask these kind of questions but I want to know as to where I'm placed right now.

    Regards,

    Dilip Samuel

Perhaps I am even more newbie than you, when I wonder 'what kind of links?' :p

In The Netherlands there are a zillion portals, 150 links is doable for me. But when I work as SEO I only make like a few links as I discovered most of the other links have no value. There are only a few good directories, like DMOZ I can count on one hand, with 10 relevant links I am usually in the top10 results in Google if I optimalise the content of the site. I am more trained in finding good links, than in a number of links per day haha.

    Am I noob?

Well, they are 100-150 thematic links, not links randomly picked up from the web and meant for a mini reciporcal directory. Thematic to the core. I mean it

"Now I'm able to find 100-150 link partners in a day for a particular theme."

Do this mean you ASK 100 - 150 to link with you?? Or, does this mean you GET 100 - 150 sites that actually link with you?

If it is the former, then anyone can send out emails asking for links, but "getting" favorabel responses from 100 - 150 relavent and good links is another matter.

Linking is an issue that has many opinions, my opinion is that you only need the best links from good pages, not thousands of links.

Linking theories are always being discussed and Compar is the best man to talk to about this on the forum.

Send Compar a Private Message and maybe he will join this thread.

"with 10 relevant links I am usually in the top10 results in Google if I optimalise the content of the site. "

Damn maybe I should try that, usually takes like 2 to 3 thousand , non-relevent links to get my sites rank for anything

    Hello,

My apologies to whoever responded to my post. I should have mentioned this: No, not 100 links received but finding 100 relevant link partners who offer link exchange.

We have seen sites that having links but no form or point of contact for link exchange respectively. The link building part will be done by a third party and hence the exchange request to the contact info at the website will be usually tossed back and forth between the webmaster and the SEO. This creates a delay: I'm excluding sites of this nature.

    Regards,
    Dilip Samuel
