Is this normal (new site)

    Google spider visited my site 10 times in the first day (i just purchased the domain) with no advertising. 2 days later the spider has been at my site 200+ times.

    Does google love my site? lol.

    Certainly seems you're getting a lot of attention. If you have a lot of content I suppose it's conceivable (although not likely) it would take many visits to crawl it all.

    I am interested in this post as I also have recently started a blog on a new domain which Google has already crawled and indexed.

    I have been involved in SEM for a number of years and have lately found that getting a new domain indexed is not that straight forward.

    I am happy to credit myself with this work but I am a bit muffed - does anyone have any comments with regards to time to get indexed (not getting a page rank - just indexed)?:confused:

    no body can predict if when the site can get indexed ....bt the better way to get the site indexed is by participating in the forum like DP :)

    How do u come to know that ur site was crawled by google sprider 200 times? from server log file or from anywhere else????????

    it looks like normal to me but you must build more and more backlink for your site. it's normal for a new site but it's not normal good site

    I believe you have backlinks from sites which have pr5 and above. Is it your site is a forum? Usually spiders love to crawl forum.

    I kind of forgot this thread.

    Anyways i know it visited 200+ times because it says it on Awstats.

    The site is an arcade, and its a new registration, hasnt been reg'ed in the past.
