Is this normal for google and wordpress? If not, how can I fix it

    When I do the google search on my site:example.com I get the same two line text description for every post and page. I am using Wordpress and think this has to be hurting my ranking. It basically just list my pages, nav links, etc.

    The text description looks like this:
    » Garden Tips
    Pages. What is Square Foot Gardening? FAQs · Last Frost Date Chart by City · Lettuce Info · Cabbage Info · My 2007 Tomato List · Plant Spacing ...

    Is this okay...is there a better way? Please let me know. Thanks!

    You need a meta tag for description I believe. Dont forget Meta tags, they are there to help your site.

    I'm Surprised wordpress doesn't have that better dealt with by default. Have you messed around with your blog template?
