Is it normal to get about €1 per sale in commission? I have 42 sales and 2 leads and €40 in balance.. Regards
Well, what items were selling? It isn't that abnormal if the item sold for like 20 to 30 bucks. I am not very familiar with the fees, but if ebay gets 3 bucks in fees, then a buck is probable.
I would say €1 in sales is pretty low, but then again if you are making lots of those sales then you can't complain. It all depends on what you are tryingto sell as well. I have made sales from as low as $0.06 all the way up to $130 so it can vary a lot.
It depends on what people buy...if you advertise only expensive items...you will get more money, on the other hand...more traffic means more money...who knows what they end up buying...just make sure they buy thru your affiliate link
If your driving a fair amount of traffic to an ebay affiliate store, you'll get some nice ebay sign up commissions aswell. The commissions off the winning auction items are low, but with so many niches to laser target there is plenty of money to be made with ebay.
I agree, I have made as much as $60 plus on a single auction in higher end niches. It's like anything else it's all a numbers thing - the more traffic you get the more the chances are that you get ACRUs or new registrations. Of course if you focus on higher end items you will not get as many sales as the lower items but there will be more of them. Gregg
No matter how many "sign up to ebay" things you have on your site, it's just a fluke when an ebay newbie hits your site and decides to take the plunge (for me anyway). Gregg is right... It's actually kinda fun getting 50 sales in a day, and then looking at all the weird little items that people have bought. Most of my sales have nothing to do with my niche(s) Put your eggs in a few baskets. Make some boring sites selling small niche/hobby items - this can be your bread and butter. But also make some crazy sites pushing $1million yachts etc... even if you don't get a yacht sale, you'll get get plenty of clicks - which gets your cookie on the users machine. And we all know... (say it with me everyone!) Dropping the cookie is what it's all about.
