Hi My names Ben Davies, ideally I'd grab bendavies.co.uk but that has already gone. I have purchased iambendavies.co.uk Does this sound OK? I've managed to secure this on twitter/facebook/linkedin so my name can be consistent over all social networks. Look forward to hearing your replies! Thanks.
I think that sounds great for something like a resume site on a personal blog. What was wrong with benmdavies.com?
Hi Ben! I love the name! URLs are usually written in lower case, but to make yours stand out more I would be inclined to capitalise your first name and last name whenever you use the URL in postings, sigs, or Emails --- 3w.IamBenDavies ---- just an idea! Have a great day. Keep smiling!
Personal branding, I do photo/video. I will put my portfolio on there, but also pump out content both written and video so I become some sort of influencer! Wasn't keen on benmdavies! First of all, felt a pain to have the M in the middle. Also I couldn't use benmdavies on all social media. Thanks!
Then I think that it is perfectly fine. Has a bit of an egotistical and artsy ring to it, to me, and that is a reasonable image for a photo/video artist.
The url is cool compare to benmdavies.com, in my opinion. I totally agree with you the 'M' is a bit off. I believe you can easily brand your new url iambendavies. Good luck!
If there is no intention to make the site as a business site, this would be OK. There are lot of new gTLDs that you can registered if you really want your exact name. eg: bendavies.blog bendavies.photos bendavies.pics etc.
i consider the verb 'am is like stop word so its kind of not good for to make as brand name thats my honest opinion
To me, an "I am [name]" in a url is solely for a personal blog. It sounds like you want to use it for professional purposes. In that case I would suggest something more like BenDaviesMedia or Video or Photography, whatever you consider your main line of business. The "I am" name sounds like it's all about your personal life, not professional.
I'd not go with "iam", simply because it doesn't really mean much to visitors. It might even come off distasteful to some people. How about adding a word related to your profession/topic in the domain?
as you said you do photo and video. then i will suggest make like bendaviesphotographer or photographerbendavies. so people use your name and keyword as well in this way you can get keyword related quires as well.
I think that would be OK as a personal website. If you plan on making this a business, I would suggest coming up with a company name and an LLC as well as branding the name before grabbing the website.
Agree. Unless you're a big and famous photographer... It could be in your area, it is fine! You need not to be "world famous", but famous in your world!
iambendavies.co.uk isnt bad, but... bendavies.co.uk isnt being used, have you approached them to buy it? I would
It’s too bad that bendavies.co.uk was already used. It's more professional. However iambendavies.co.uk sounds good to me for personal branding. Just put emphasis on your name by making B & D capital and you’re good to go. It’s great that you manage to secure the name on social media so there will be no confusion. Good luck!
iambendavies.co.uk is fine but yes I agree with others bendavies.co.uk sounds more professional, short and easy to visit. But that wont matter because its just a personal site. But try finding shorter url for your site like ibendavies.co.uk.
