To be honest it is such a basic design that you could probably find hundreds of sites that look very similar Code is similar but again very generic so impossible to say - there are some odd differences if it is a straight clone as in why change the colour codes from capitals to lowercase? Chances of it being totally random are slim but then again with so many sites out there.... To be honest, how do you KNOW that yours is the original?
I agree with iatmb... it is quite a common "plain" layout. However.. since the codes are soo similar with minor changes, it might have been duplicated..
They probably had the design before you, they're PR5 and have archives - http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://freecsshtmleditors.com Oh, didn't notice the CSS. lol. 132px is not exactly a common measurement. If you designed and coded it yourself, they stole it.
It's maybe easy to make and plain but still it's EXACT the same. The links on the top are moved to the right and the banner is replaced with google ads.
I can see why you don't like it being copied, but, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, your site could do with a bit more on the design side to make it unique anyway, it's a very simple design, and could be copied from scratch in no time at all.

His was different a few months ago when he asked for a link exchange This was my "learning CSS" code, check out the CSS file especially since we had a link exchange, to me thats the "smoking gun" I coded it myself, I've still code the code chunks from development on my PC Yeah, good thing it's not one of my main sites! if it was, i'd be mad Yeah, I thought it was kind of obvious too
I know, I think it's kind of funny... But still, based on principal, I'm against anyone copying anyone else's site...
The way I design a page, is by writing a template.html file as a skeleton, then dividing it up into chunks (header, footer, main body)... Here's the template file for that design: http://www.yourcode.info/template.html

I agree but that's not the point is it really, it's the principle. This is blatant plagiarism. Why should someone be allowed to get away with using other people's content for free? People invest a lot of time and money into their sites just for them to be copied by people who don't have the skills necessary to do it themselves. It should be tolerated regardless of whether the content being ripped is special or not.
hi http://freecsshtmleditors.com is my site and yes i pretty much stole the design, css code and all mostly to play around with adsense placement and ctr. i do apologize about that and i haven't stole any content from anywhere if that issue comes up. we did have a link exchange going on and as i usually do, i went to check that my links were still up on my "link partners'" sites and over half weren't. before, whenever someone removed my link i would simply take their link down as well without contacting the person and i were to take their link down first i would contact them first. but this time there were close to half of my links taken down that i just said f**k it, and at the time dp would not send me my password to my email for some reason so i wasn't able to login and mostly because of the time that it would take me to contact all the remaining link partners and also the site doesn't make any $. this is mostly a rant/reply and i have no problem discussing any of this. I noticed you still have this design up, it obviously upset the original owner ( and you know this) so I think you really should take it down.
Everyone is free to copy all of my sites design (BTW, they are ugly) All you need is the URL... well you can find my site before I give you the URL but I really don't care if you copy my ideas.
