Just wondring whether the 2 following things would be legal.

1 - In a forum on the post list. blending an advert into the post list with the poster name as "Advertisement"

2 - Having Advertisement and then the date under "advertisement"

    Cheers

About the first question, No it shouldnt be done.

And for the second, i don't understand why you want a date below advertisement? IMO, putting a date won't harm, but what's its purpose?

Why is the first not legal?

It is just blended and the page is content?

I cant see why it wouldn't be allowed

You are allowed to do both as long as you dont have misleading labels over them. You can even have a second post on every thread with your ad.

The first one is probably fine, but the second one is a definite no-no. It is probably a good idea not to label the ad anything at all, and just have a second post with the ads, but no labelling. If you want to go ahead with this, ask Adsense.

BTW, Danny, is it me or are you constantly looking for ways to skirt Adsense's TOS? If this is all you constantly think about, I don't see a very happy future for your account, my friend...

P.S. INV, he is not allowed the second one. I've sat through two threads about the same topic, and they've both been denied by Adsense when they were submitted for approval.

    According to the TOS:

Publishers may not label the ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements." This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads.

You are allowed to put the current $date under the ad if you wish. It's not labeling anything.

Whatever. I told you what happened when two publishers asked for approval using this exact same method (they were both told No), but if quoting Adsense's ever-so-elastic TOS convinces you that you're right, by all means go with it. It's no skin off my nose if anyone's account is banned.

JB not trying to skirt it. I am trying to find out if I am breaching and whether I should change what I am doing. I also check with Google when I post these questions to make sure they are 100% aware of my activities.

It is more being cautious I have some very good and unique blending on sme of my ads and I just want to make sure they are ok.

The second questions is actually like this

    advert - advertisements - date

So it is not above but I get your point on this one.
