I have sold a site which may see some REALLY REALLY HIGH TRAFFIC NUMBERS. The sale was completed a year ago but the site is still pointed to my server. Is it legal with google for me to 1) Develop the site, and put google ads on it even though I don't own it.
Google doesn't care.. it's the owners of the site that can come after you. If there is actual no website, and the domain is parked on your server. You can put up a under construction page with google adwords on it. If they already have a site on the domain, I wouldn't touch someone elses site. You should be charging them hosting costs though.
Tech, There's no site on the domain. I just didn't know if it was against google's TOS to display ads on a site you dont own.
Okay, Well I will stay away from Google then. This is a politcal domain (of which the political organization has rights to the name!)
Yes, I'd suggest you not to do it. How much traffic is the domain bringing? You can try other options.
No idea, I really actually forgot about the domain until recently. I put up a advertiser domain landing page, I will see how it works out with that.
