To tell you the truth... I'm kind of sick "learning something new" about weight loss pills, viagra, low rate financing without credit check and super cheap adult sites with unique content every day. With your attitude towards mailings I could immediatly run an email collector and mail everybody out there about a new product as long as I somehow state that my targets "haven't heard of it yet." One-time mailings are ok if you're trying to cross-sell a product that targets the same market or is closely related to it. but shooting out mails and hoping for a sale is just spam.
" With your attitude towards mailings I could immediatly run an email collector and mail everybody out there about a new product as long as I somehow state that my targets "haven't heard of it yet." " Great point.
Every once in a while I receive a spam email that gets my attention but that is about 1 in 100. maybe there are more, but I overlook those for obvious reasons.
Hey I got this amazing offer today from this dude in Zimbabwe, he's going to offer me 20% of $25,000,000!!! WOW OMG!?!?! I really feel like my life is enriched!!!
I have 2 fake cashiers checks in my house from this , one for 3k the other for 5k, the 5k one looks pretty real actually. I guess I'll keep those as a souvenir or something
Some people will try to find a way to excuse what they do as not being so bad. I love my spam filter!!! Some customers are so paranoid now to even give us an e-mail and I have to reassure that we do not ever sell them or pass them on to anyone.
Wow this is an old thread. Spam filters are a necessity today especially for addresses tied to domains with good positioning in SERPs...
Sorry to be slow, but how do the serps corrolate with the filters to email addresses on those domains?
Because email harvesters will find your address much easier (assuming they are posted on the site) or guess addresses just based upon the domain name while using the search engines to build their databases. My daily spam quota rises and falls more or less with my sites' positions in the SERPs.
I have found this thread looking for mine on http://www.legalserviceonline.com I remember. Now I am looking at my own spam quota and for some reason it seems to keep on falling ever since I started forwarding all my emails to my gmail account. I think their spam filter is superb. Haven't seen a better one yet.
