May I respectfully suggest you do not give advice on subjects you clearly have no knowlege about.

Google WILL go after this person, and take the site away from them.
There are no IF's But's or Maybe's about it.

It does to some people, especially those unfamiliar with trademarks.

The gist here is one risks causing likelihood of confusion (look that up) if they
register and use a domain name bearing a trademark. It then depends on its
mark holder if they wish to make it an issue or not.

Owning the domain probably won't do you any harm, developing it or selling it is a no no though. So basically, there is no point to owning it.

i dont think google will "go after" you. they might ban your site from their search results claiming it's an imitator. i say sell it to some sucker who just wants to play around with it. anyone wanting to start a real professional site wouldn't use that domain unless they're a nonprofit forum.

and lol @ paypalsucks. i like that banner they have "PayPal TERRIFIED"

    Offer it to Google themselves..
Tell them that you registered it unkowingly and ask them whether they would take it..
If their response is cool, then enquire whether you will be compensated for the registration amount.. Generally they'll as they don't want people abusing them on forums later for them being ###holes...

I got hold of natgeo.info and offered it to natgeo.com guys.... They have replied positively.. It was not registered in my name, i just offered to deal for the original registrant as he doesn't speak English..

Don't use any Google name in future they will sent you Legal Notice and tell you to pay claim of $10 K. So, this is the advice I have a experience. Hence, I stopped all that.
