Get rid of it ... trademark issue is not good for business. Sell it on ebay and put a google logo as a photo of the sale. You will be surprised how many people would buy a thing related to something famous and not realise they might have trademark issues.

Did you purchase the domain via PayPal?

You can open a dispute if you paid via PayPal, You can tell PayPal he sold you a illegal domain name and that you want your money back and you will return his domain, PayPal will most-likely go in your favor and refund the money

    Good Luck!

When someone has their company name registered, you cannot really use the companies name by just manipulating the words around.

    EG:-
    grizz.com
    grizzismad.com
    crazygrizz.com

It is like insulting once company by using their own name against them.

Result: If it is found loitering around, it will be taken away. You won't be affected, but it will just go away from your hands.

I think you chose the wrong domain, but theres nothing to worry I think because, as long as you are not competing directly wth Google, or bringing disgrace or discredit to Google using the trademarked term they wont come after you.

Why would you say something this stupid? It is certainly not the law. People are looking for legal advice, not ignorant guesses that tell them they have "nothing to worry about" when that is simply untrue. I assume you mean they have nothing to worry about aside from the obvious infringement of the most well known trademark on the Internet?

Please don't offer people advice if you have no idea what you are talking about.

You need to stop posting in the legal section. In another thread you told someone that paying taxes isn't necessary unless the government asks for the money.

you're kidding right? they actually said not paying taxes was ok as long as the government doesn't ask for it? that makes a lot of sense.......(sarcasistic tone) there wouldn't be any problems if you got caught at all.

But in response to the main question just ditch the site. better to be safe if you're not sure right? and it certainly isn't the addsense issue. what if you want indexing? If it's a forum and you strictly state that it is an unofficial forum you could be ok. People create unofficial forums which would technicaly break trademark rules all the time and there are rarely problems. But I still wouldn't recomend it.

I owned a domain name once that had google in the domain name. They actually forced me to turn the domain over to them by threat of turning off my adwords and adsense accounts.

Dump the domain and consider any expense you have put into it a lesson learned.

    Good Luck.

I thought your domain was pronounced megoog leforum like in french or something, not google... LOL I doubt that argument will stand, but why dont you pick the fight with them on your nickel and update us how it goes!!!
Surely you can afford better attorneys than that little company with a funny name.

    Good Luck

You and others may agree with the above. If Google or any party decides to
hold the OP or others liable, then obviously your opinion means nothing.

Then again, what we're posting here are merely opinions that mean nothing to
Google anyway. Especially if they do have an enforceable claim.

Is it allowed to use Google as your nickname??

this whole thing sounds so ridiculous

its like making a fan site about a movie, and getting in trouble for using the movie name in your title... :/

Get rid of the domain. Google might run after you. There is already infringement once you use other's trademark regardless of the intent. Good faith is not a defense! So get rid of it ASAP!
