A lot of web hosting companies will suspend your account if they receive complaints of inappropriate content, which in this case is essentially slandering. Although it is not done on your part, you are the owner of the website and are responsible for all of the content on there. Now, if you have a TOS which said you are not responsible for such content, the company themself can not make you remove it unless otherwise stated in any court dispute. Your host can tell you to remove whatever they want, as they are hosting and "sourcing" the slandering.

If I was you, I would just remove it.

Switching the host won't do much because if tenamax finds any of the threads containing slandering posts, they will just complain to his new host.

Mike you are right. The best thing would be remove the posts, switch host and then from a cyber cafe or something make an anon ID and slander them. They will never know who is slandering even if they track IP, the cyber cafe IP will show and as it is for public use nobody can guess who is doing it. :D

His host had suspended his account as he made a few posts on forums saying how bad they were and they had found them.

Hate messages or bad mouthing about a company or person is not allowed on the Internet. You might fall in trouble for doing this.

doubt people are going to get in trouble if they put hate messages of the company out on forums...

Also, I think it's unfair what they did, but if they "Have the right to not service anyone they choose" then it's legal. But I think they are supposed to give you a weeks notice before suspending your account though

If you need a new host, PM me and I'll try and sort things out with your hosting company and transfer your sites.

    Since when??

It wasn't a hate message either it sounds more like a complaint... Which knowing the 80% of host companies out there was probably justified.

Any complaint can be valid and justified, but if it is considered slandering, lawsuits can be brought up, and the suspension of his hosting account was just a precaution taken by the hosting company so they don't get dragged into the mess.

Even if you are in the right, a lawsuit may still be filled, and the hassle isn't always worth it even if you know the case may be dismissed.
