I want to sell the apps my friend and I made using the software Apple gave us. Is it legal to sell on our own without giving them anything? I got a domain to start making a website for my apps, but I don't want to get sued... Please let me know!
What software did apple "give you"? What terms or conditions were applied to the "gift"? When you said made using the software, do you mean the software was a development tool and you've used it or that you've built on their software to create a new package with more functionality and therefore will be distributing their code with yours? If for example you had used Visual C# Express which is freeware from Microsoft you don't have to give any credit to Microsoft in the applications you build and distribute using the tool.
It isn't about whether or not you can legally distribute them, it's about HOW you would do so. To repeat my previous answer;
Seriously, running your own website and wasting all of that money marketing your app will cost you more than the 30% cut Apple wants. Imagine building your website, doing hours of marketing, and than only selling 500 copies for $1. You would have spent hours upon hours creating the site, and than days marketing the site - all to avoid paying apple $150.
