Black and white, my friend, shades of grey. It's illegal to rob a bank at gun point. Is it illegal to report the fact that the bank was robbed? How about a follow up report on where the gun used in the robbery was purchased? Is that 'aiding and abetting'? What if the follow up report about where the gun was purchased might help other people to purchase the gun and so *encourage bank robbery*? Is it OK if the place where the gun was bought can no longer be used to buy guns? See where I'm going with this? Because the blanket situation some countries have just forced though into law appear to some observers to be a knee-jerk reaction that can do nothing but polarize opinion to the point where the legislation ends up having the opposite effect to that intended. And BTW, criminal charges must be proven in a civilized society - assumption of guilt (which is what this legislation is) runs against international law on several levels, including most likely the conventions on human rights. If you don't understand why this legislation effectively assumes guilt, I can explain it form you, although, of course, I'm no lawyer.
lcwadminbj you clearly have no knowledge of what you're talking about when it comes to linking to content. You seem to have this belief that every country has the same damn laws regarding this issue when clearly they DO NOT. You go into every single thread regarding these issues like a man on a mission to discredit everything anyone says without knowing anything at all. Read what contentboss posted again and you will see the relevance to subject in hand. You speak from a moral standpoint not a legal one.
I KNOW they dont have the same damd laws and that is what pisses me off - along with the fact that there are far too many that support the criminal acts being committed. I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way I think any honest, ethical, and law abiding person would feel the same as I do. These countries are allowing people to steal and commit fraud on the internet with total immunity despite the fact that if you tried to do it in their high streets they would be shitting all over you from a great height.
