Is this legal? Adsense "cheats"...

Hi, ive seen MANY sites that mix adsense codes with content to make visitors accidentally click on the ads. Is this legal? Has google noticed this?

    Heres an example:

Notice that this site offers resources and there are 3 adsense ads between them. I want to know if google allows this because i have to say that visitors click on them accidentally.....

    Thanks, fuser

Blending Adsense into layout is allowed - however, making parts of your site to look purposefully like Adsense is against TOS. These guys will get a warning soon enough.

Yes, it is perfectly legal. You will not go to prison if you do it.

If you think of it, the only one damaged by this are the sites that put ads in those pages because if you manage to fool visitors into million click a day, you will be giving millions of dollars to google.....

I own one of the sites that looks like that

    http://www.profiledo.com/

The index pages blends perfectly and Google tells us to play around some hehe

The child pages are completely different however

    http://www.profiledo.com/Layouts/

If google has a problem with the index page I'll switch to YPN and move on.

Always try to have a plan b .....

It's a good question. The answer is difficult. Basically it's allowed until Google tells you it isn't. One Adsense support guy you ask can tell you "Yes, it's cool", and the next day ANOTHER Adsense support guy will tell you, "No, it's not cool, take it down". Basically, you do so at your own risk.

If it were me I would say it's against the TOS. I am sure G! does not want to be paying money to people who "trick" their visitors into clicking links, which this website is basically doing. Maybe they won't hear anything for a while if the site isn't getting much traffic but like stated above, eventually I am sure they will get an invalid clicks email and be warned..

But G strongly encorage the adsense users to blend the adsense with the content. I think its we that are to careful and the invalid clicks are not for the blending.

It's not against TOS. And even if it was, it would still not be "illegal." Illegal means something is against the law. Try to use a more appropriate word in your title such as, "Is this ALLOWED?" Google hasn't grown quite to the point yet to where they are making laws.
