Is this kind of Adplacement allowed by adsense?

I am having an adplacement like in following figure in one of my blog and that has increased my blogs CTR tremendously.

But my question is, is it allowed? Is it withing google´s TOS?

I can't see the image - you mean the diagram that is in the blog post you linked to? If so, the layout in that diagram is fine.
