Hi all! I'm curious if this keyword is popular enough to bring necessary traffic - here I run a webmaster forum and it is on the first page for that keyword but still don't get necessary traffic. Thank you all.
Well, according to WordTracker, there has been only 5 searches for it in the last 90 days, and only 22 for Webmaster Forums. Check it out here
Sometimes I think word tracker does not give the greatest results for some of the searches that I have done on it.
East Solution: Run an adwords campaign with high CPC and high budget. Run it for a month then multiply total number of adwords referrals with 10... here is simple way to know the popularity
Maybe there is something wrong with WordTracker because "webmaster forum" is a common keyword and many people search for it, not only 22.
You can get an exact number from the Google Adwords keyword suggestion tool, but you can see a graph that gives you an idea of how much a keyword is searched for. It's showing a 4 out of 10 - I would estimate that it gets at least a few thousand searches per month. You could double check it with the Overture tool if it wasn't down all the time.
Keep in mind that keyword digging tools base their results only on part of the data available from SE's. Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. will never reveal all of their information to anybody. So while, say Wordtracker, might say there are only a certain number of searches for a specific time frame, that is only a "best guess" with the information made available. The remainder is what I call the "Fudge Factor". You have to hone your gut instinct to determine if you are on the right track or not. After you dig into keywords enough, you begin to think, and are able to better determine what somebody may type in, and what somebody who is truly qualified and serious, would not type in. Rob -
