is this illegal or not???

I was wondering if any one might know the answer.

I know of a download link online that is an documentary of a band which they did prolly 10 years ago at least which is very rare and i think they only made a few copies. I know alot of people would buy it. Is it illegal for me to supply them with the download link and charge like $10-$15? I am not hosting the file i just know where it is. I don't think it would be since im not actually selling it, i would be just providing the information on how to download.....

Any one might know if its safe or not?

So they will buy the link from you, then still have to buy the real thing? Your reputation would sink like a rock if you do that, so it really depends on how much you care about that.

Also, it will be illegal if you misrepresent your service, that is, don't state explicitly what you are doing and then do exactly what you said.

 

no no no no.... i would explain to them that its just a downloadable file of the movie, not lying to them at all...

 

That is not illegal, but come on... there are better ways to make money. At least more honest ways.

Not illegal , and if you can find people to buy it, a great way to make money.

 

He is not selling the copyrighted material, he is just selling information which is 100% legal in all countries that I know of.

 

For me it's not. It's like an affiliate selling I think... It's just that you directly sell the info to people. But I don't think you will have a big range of buyers
