Hello, I work in a logo design company as a part-time, the owner has hired a content writer to write content for his own free blogspot blogs. The design company I work at is PR5. According to him, he said he will have a backlink on the different blogposts blogs, I was like why would a PR5 website have backlink on a new blogspots - -could be to increase the organic result. Any other reasons? Do you think this is a good step?
Yes, blogging is a good one way linking... Don't worry about it he/she is doing fine but the question there is is the content writer, writing a blogposts relevant to your site?
The problem with doing blog posts is the backlinks will go TO the posts itself, and giving only pagerank to that post. If you do internal linking correctly you would pass on the PR to other pages, but not as effective as a direct link to your homepage. Traffic wise, Pagerank really doesn't get you more traffic, you need to generate backlinks with the anchor text you want to rank for in search engines, meaning your anchor text should match the keyword\phrases your trying to rank.
though it cant give you assure traffic and BL. it's still depend on the strategy and layouts on how you put external links in your blog that would help your website..
