Is this going overboard ?

I am always concerned about ads placement and in my own site, I make sure that the Ads stands out either by a separate color or in a separate location from the content and do not try to attempt to deceive my visitors to click on them without them being fully aware those are ads.

I came across this site http://demo.flickscript.com/ and http://www.myspacescriptz.com/ . I am not sure if it is really pushing it because there are so many times I thought I was clicking to contents but then was mislead to some Adsense Ads instead.

    Thanks

If I were these sites, I would not want to be betting my fianancial future on the questionable way in which images are associated with the Adsense ads. A flick of the switch by Google and they're gone.

Thank you for your comments. I really thought so to. I just find that to be wrong but if there are some changes in the Adsense rules which permits that, I don't mind using it.

I have seen this site before and yes, I almost got misled into thinking one of those blended ads are actual pages on the site itself.

the second one is fine IMO and very good. The first one is going to have issues with the image right above the ad. They need to have a distinct border between the image and the ad.

They look as if they are designed to get clicks. Its a fine line.

I've wrote to Adsense to ask them if it is okay to do what they do and this is what they say

Choose colors that best fits your website's design.
    That's what they say!

The myspacescripts site is ok i think.

As someone said, there's two problems with the other site:

    1) image too close to ad
    2) ad labeled as "Latest Videos"
