    Hi
I have just received an email from someone that wants to buy a domain name that I own. Please have a look at the following and tell me whether you think it is genuine or a bit suspicious.

    Hello!

I represent a big investor from Lausanne (Switzerland) who wants to purchase ****dot com
Please specify your asking price in the subject of your message.

My client has $528,000 budget for 55-60 domains. He is also interested in purchasing short names, banking, gambling, insurance and financial names.

I'd like to know your favorite payment method : Bank transfer, Paypal, Escrow or something else. If this is your first time domain sale I may help you with the sale/transfer process.

Are you a member of domain name forums? Probably, we even know each other.

    Best regards,
    Code (markup):
I have left out the senders address.

Please let me have your thoughts.

No, it is 100% a scam, they get you to pay them for a domain appraisal, after you have paid them you won't hear from them again

You could try them, but don't pay for anything. If somebody wants to buy your domain they will pay for their own appraisals.

Just got one the other day. Best thing to do is not respond. Last thing you want to do is verify your email address with a response.
