    Hi,

I have read a few posts and many people joined an affiliate program then referred themselves and purchases, so that they get it for cheap.

    Is this Fraud ?

I think it's likely to be against the TOS of most affiliate programs but I won't go so far as to call it "fraud".

With click fraud, the "click" doesn't convert for the advertiser.

With this, the website achieves it's purpose of making a sale, and it's willing to give a percentage of the sale to the affiliate.

But then suppose you want to buy something worth $100 and the companys pays affiliates $50/sale, so if you join as affiliate , use your link and buy it. They won't consider this fraud ?

What don't you ask them? They will be able to tell you if they allow it or not.

Not sure if you could call it fraud, but more than likely it is against that affiliate programs TOS and rules
