Is this forum worth monetizing? [stats includes]

I have a vBulletin forum that has:

    • Threads: ~10,00o
    • Posts: ~200,000
    • Members: ~5,000
    • Active Members: ~270

    These are its stats:

The users are students (so no budget for subscriptions).

Is it worth monetizing? And if so, what can I expect (I know forums usually perform very badly)

    Thank you,

    Eiso

Are these stats for one month or the entire time the site's been alive? If it's monthly I think you could make a decent amount to make it worth monetizing. There's so many variables to determine how much you might be able to expect that I don't think anyone can offer an estimate to you. But I have to say 18 average pageviews is a high number and almost 18 minutes for time spent on site is pretty darn good. Perhaps you could try some other way of monetizing besides just tossing up ads. Since you have under 300 active members and you said you members are students, subscriptions are certainly not a good idea.

The traffic stats are for 1 month, the amount of posts/threads for the sites lifetime. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what to monetize it with.

That's great. Well it depends on what the forum is about. Perhaps you could be an Amazon affiliate or some type of book store, instead of just throwing up some ads.
