hey, is this forum legal? http://dix6.eamped.com/ a member of mine started that forum and am wondering if its legal since it links to copyrighted movies but does not host anything on my server. all it does is just link to movies uploaded on other different sites. is that legal since they are just linking? thanks, someone please help me decide if i should keep forum live or delete it. thanks
You refer to the person as one of your members so I'm presuming that you own, operate or have something to do with the running of eamped, anyways it's not allowed. it in the TOS Forums We Don't Host We will not host illegal, immoral, unethical, or otherwise objectional forums. This includes, but isn't limited to, forums (directly or indirectly) about hacking, pornography, warez (downloads of copyright material), or content not suitable for children. We run a family program, such sites will be removed without warning.
yes, i own eamped.com. and was wondering if i should delete that forum on there or not since i want to keep it completely legal ofcourse. thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated
Why take the risk? I would remove anything that would raise the slightest eyebrows regarding the integrity and/or legality of my website.
I agree whole-heartedly I wouldn't just remove anything and everything that gets reported...but when you get questionable content like this, it's better to remove it than it is to take on the risk - Not only do you risk being responsible for the content yourself, but you risk putting across the message that you allow illegal content.
