I was looking over the internet, and I have came across this: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=500words.com Anyways the site took off from day 1. and it had about 600 users/day. The only thing I can figure is a direct link to the site from another site, or he is just boting away results. Has anyone ever managed to achieve the same results over the same time period?
Alexa rankings are completely inaccurate. To get high in the rankings, all you have to do is install the toolbar and visit from there, and have all your members do the same. Sites that don't do this fall way down.
Ya, as mentioned above they are not accurate at all. They only count traffic from people who have there toolbar installed. Many sites dont get the proper numbers recrded because the type of people using the alexa toolbar dont view those kind of sites. its mostly used by people like us who use it as a tool/guide
