I did a post on a Quintet TFT Display and its been reported as a fake. Must admit I think it probably is and have been suckered again has anybody else heard of this one?
I'm thinking it's fake also which is a really shame as that it looked one cool display. It must have taken a fair amount of time for somebody to put such an elaborate hoax together.
Would it be that difficult to put that together yourself? It may need side supports though as thats a lot of money to have it be knocked over and a few screens smashed.
It probably wouldn't be that difficult, not sure how you'd go about connecting the screens together. Included a pic with this post so you don't have to follow links to find the pic.
That sucks. I only have 4 magic beans!! I'm sorry dct but I try and stay away from gadget sites because I know I'll just want to buy everything. T0PS already told me about the powerball and I went and got 1. 5 duel screens would be really sweet! Would it not need to be a specialised graphics card though?
I think you may need more than one graphics card for that many screens (probably need more than one credit card as well). Powerballs are cool, you can't not thank the man for that recommendation.
Check this link for multi screens. A long time ago I had a link to a triple screen that looked a lot like the one Weir posted, but cant seem to find it again.
I know this kind of screen exists, I saw it on a german company's site which sold like the best Pc's in the world. And some of them included these screens. But i can't remember the name of that company EDIT: I found it http://www.go-l.com/store/hardware/grand_canyon.htm , and they also have some really expensive pc's.
Thanks kandeman, I've just reported on the screens Perrow mentioned, looks like I'll have to do a follow up now Edit: Actually I think that's the site that I first reported on which are the probable fakes.
Don't think their fake, btw have you seen their laptop's? I think everyone on these forums would like one of those
