Im thinking about buying a text link of the footer of a site that has a lot to do with my site. The site in which I want to purchase a text link on offers to put it in the footer, and is ranked around 50,000 on alexa. Their price is $95 per month. Do you think that is too much?
Yes, it's quite expensive. I have the API Alexa uses (without the toolbar) to monitor stats, and if I send a bunch of HTTP requests, it'll bump up my ranking quick. Alexa is not at all accurate universally because not even half the market uses the Alexa toolbar.
No that not too much. But you can update the thread what's the PR, where you are going to ask for TEXT LINK...that would be better to put some more suggestions..
It's quite expensive and personally I don't think that's a worthy investment. After all, google always take notice of the url placed in footer area which they regard as paid links.
Two answers: a) forget pagerank b) ask for analytics traffic stats for 6 months and a sidenote: Are you guys sure you are members of DP...?
A text link for $95.00 per month? Yeah, I'd say that's quite a bit. I only charge $20/month for a text link on my site and $35/month for a banner ad.
Alexa rank is pretty much worthless. You need some traffic stats to determine if it might be worthwhile. Even then I'm Leary of buying text links. Just too risky.
As the others said, Alexa rank doesn't mean anything. Check the backlinks of the site where you want to place your link etc. Don't rely on the Alexa rank, it can be faked.
Like you heard from other ppl Alexa results is not most important thing for you to make a choice..But i wouldn't also rely on traffic since your text link will be in the footer..So check backlinks, how often site is updated..etc Cheer, Ivan
Honestly that is very expensive for a link. For that much you shuld be getting at least a PR6 with only a few links on the page.
Yes its reasonable priced. If the site receive more than 10k unique visitor/day and their PR is more than 6.
Ok, for some reason it has a pagerank of 0 but I know that is not true. According to cubestat here are some stats of the site - Daily Pageviews: 21,588 Daily Ads Revenue: $64.76 The site is - thedailyneopets.com
