Is this even worth the effort?

Well I just bought a site on an impulse today, yoursuperjackpot.com, its basically a egold lotto site. The thing I didn't think about was that there was no one playing and that you'd need people already playing to attract more people to play (convert them).

Should i just try and pump traffic to the website, or does anyone know ways they'd go about promoting it? Is it even promotable? I'm thinking of flipping this for 80 bucks (how much I spent on it).

You should invest some money into it to make it look active. Nobody's going to gamble money away when there's nothing to win. Start making your own bids and keep it up while you advertise it. If you must, game it so one of your profiles always wins. :)

ugh egold wont allow me to pay myself so I can't bid myself, I was just hoping someone would be stupid enough, out of the thousands that I send to the site, to buy a ticket.

    What is an egold?

Maybe most ppl have no clue what they are playing for or playing on for that matter.

I think you should try to explain to your visitors more about this concept and possibly create some gateway sites so that people are more aware by the time they reach your site.....

Egold hardly have a great rep amongst normal web users if they even know what it is.

I agree it's not very pretty. It's also all black in color. All black colored sites in my opinion hurt my eyes to look at, even if you are gaming. You should brighten it up some and put some good graphics on it too. I also agree that people would rather play and get paid something real.
