Well the forum would not really be made for webmasters, meaning not everyone will have a website. So it is almost wasted unless you are drawing a webmaster crowd.
Well generally people would not go around promoting "Hey everyone look at all this personal information about me! Check it out!" But I suppose that does support you a little bit. I have a myspace, but it is only for me and my personal friends =)
Well some people are very proud of there myspace web site. I have a few friends that swear that they can make web sites. It's myspace.
I have friends like that too! You may have a point =p. People like that make me laugh, mainly because they think they are smart and when you start to have a conversation concerning webmastering they lost and start telling lies. Makes me laugh.
Check out NamePros.com They have thier own currency which can be transfered into real cash or purchase other stuff. Its a really successul forum but people post because they like the community/subject.
My wife is like that...she gets all excited when shes adds some code to add an image to her site (which she got from some other site...lol)...it makes me smile...but of course i just tell her "Oh wow!...you're getting better at this!"
haha you should teach her something fun, like javascript! <script type=text/javascript> alert "Hello!"; alert "This is annoying!"; </script> I forget how exactly javascript works but it is something like that. She would get a kick out of it =p.
If your one cent idea does not work try our other ideas. You never know which one will work. People are very funny.
