    Hi Bros,

Recently I have seen some review websites include an iframe in webpages and call targeted hoplink in that iframe. The question is, is this comes under cookie stuffing.

    E.G. web page

    ----------------------------
    Title: Review of XYZ Product

Description of the product: blah blah blah

Call to action link: Click here to visit XYZ prodcut site

    Iframe called with hoplink.
    ----------------------------

This way without clicking on the hoplink the clickbank cookie get dropped in the visitors computer.

    Heya Robert,

Kind of. Does the page pop up ?

    I didn't exactly get it..

If it's a normal iframe then it's not cookie stuffing.

I would say that is unethical unless the iframe is a normal one

    Hello precious and others,

because their (CB) TOS in regards to iframes is not exactly clear, i asked CB:

"If i have a site and open an iframe on the site with a hoplink - is this an invalid hoplink?"
(Mind you that the iframe would open on the main site, its not HIDDEN or anything)

Jenny@Clickbank just replied to me that the hoplink would be invalid, so commissions "are not guaranteed".

So if you are using ANY iframe be careful...i know that many do...but IF you do dont be surprised if something goes wrong, no commissions etc...

I KNOW that many do this, and we can debate like "well it works..."

BUT: Its without a doubt cookie stuffing!! I read about competitors reporting such sites and people's Cb accounts getting shut down.
You decide whether you want to risk it...

Interesting thread here that you must have missed.
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1746248&page=2&

As with anything on the net there is a whitehat and blackhat way of doing things. If the cookie is for the product being reviewed, it has probably been set whitehat for a reason.

Blackhat cookie stuffing is when you are stuffing cookies for unrelated products on visitors computers, or on websites that are not your own or you are using any other method to obtain commissions unfairly.

It is cookie stuffing.A cookie is being placed in the visitors computer without clicking anywhere.I think the affiliate can be banned for doing this and all his commission can be revised.
