yes it is friendly, just look at any websites , who "powered by volusion " do the search of this on google and you get websties , who are using Volusion. Look at they PR, most of them are 4, 5, 3. I have store, just 2 months old and hoping to get 4 next time updates, now have PR1. good luck . great e commerce software volusion in my view.
