Is this duplicate content and is it holding me back in Google?

    hi

i've been through all my articles at www.naturalelements.co.uk/free-beauty-tips/ and took the 1st paragraph surrounded in quotes and performed a search on that term in google

for example if you look at www.naturalelements.co.uk/article/acne/what-to-do-for-acne/ and do a search on the first paragraph surrounded by quotes into google, there are 10 results being displayed. one of them is mine

so are the other listings duplicate content (even though there is a link back to my site, to show that i am the owner) and is there anything that i should do about this such as using:

<META NAME=" GOOGLEBOT " CONTENT="NOINDEX,FOLLOW"> in the title tag of such pages? (there are approx 260 such articles where it shows my listing and others)

    thanks

Clearly, these two pages are duplicate content.

    http://www.naturalelements.co.uk/article/acne/what-to-do-for-acne/

    http://www.acne-treatments-web.com/what-can-i-do-a625.html

Any page that you use the noindex tag on will not appear in the search engines. Does that answer your question?

I NEVER syndicate articles that appear on my site. I'm not huge on syndicated articles anyway. The only real benefit that I've found is that it can develop some authority for your name or brand you may be pushing.

For direct SEO benefit, I would not at all recommend using syndicated articles.
