I'm wondering if the dropdown menus in the white nav-bar near the top of this following url is seo firendly:

    http://www.webshots.com/

it does not look like any javascript is used for it.

That's an excellent example of an SEO-friendly drop-down menu.

I just came across this post and (although old) I wanted to say that there are different products/services that let you create SEO friendly menus easily.

One of them has been suggested in an earlier post.

I wanted to also suggest a tool that I use, which is AllWebMenus which I think might help. They have added a UL/LI functionality which helps you create SEO friendly menus. I don't like/know much code, and it really helped me.

You can take a look at it at http://www.likno.com

    Hope this info helps you.

Does anyone know of any other tools? It would be good to post a list of different SEO friendly tools that will help out...

Thank you for the information. I was a little unsure whether or not I should go for a dropdown for my site clmhomes.com. I'm very concerned with how Google might react.

As you can see I have very limited space for my navigation and I have at least twice as many links I want to add to it. So it would seem that CSS is the way to go. Thanks.

I'm assuming you're talking about CSS driven drop down menus? Don't worry, they are SEO friendly and will be treated as normal static links regardless of how they are displayed.

Javascript however hasn't been conclusive whether it is really SEO friendly or not. I've had my experiments and it is really hit or miss so I can't really say for sure.
