This topic is pretty self-explanatory. The domain is : http://www.myxboxrepairguide.net. It's main keyword is 'xbox repair guide', and on google it ranks about 81. The only traffic so far for it is 3~5 search engine bots, a couple of random people, etc. I was going to use it to sell affiliate products and such, but obviously that's failed. It's about 3 months old and has 0 PageRank. So, is it worth selling, and if so, how much? The hosting which is currently providing nameservers for the domain is being cancelled in 12-72 hours, so it may be blank if you check it out. I'm transferring the whole of the site and the domain onto a free host to preserve whatever it has right now, and dumping both the domain and the site in around 7~8 months from now, when the first year's payment expires.
It might be worth selling, depending upon the keywords. If you find an interested person it could go for figures around $xx or it is worth only the reg price..
If you dont want to try on it, you can sell it out. However, this domain cant get a very good price, it is too long
Since when do Xbox's need repair anyway? Just kidding, we have had two of them in the office get red ring's. As far as the domain goes, I dont think it has much value. There are already so many DIY repair videos on YouTube that would be more valuable for someone to watch vs. reading a repair guide.
To reply to some comments: 1. I am aware that it's a rather long domain name, that's one of the main reasons that I doubted its value. 2. It ranks #84 currently for the main keyword 'xbox repair guide', the number 81 was outdated. 3. The affiliate product is not only for the RRoD, it's just the most common problem, and as such is the most advertised feature of the product. The product does cover several other problems and solutions for Xbox's. If anybody else would like to comment, I'd appreciate the feedback.
Yeah im with the rest of the commenters here - but am no domain name value expert Probably not worth much as it is now as a domain name $10-15 if you are lucky There are heaps of sites in that niche but if someone wanted to open a new site for affiiliate offers then the domain might sell bcos of the keywords. I dont mind longer keyword rich domains bcos it increased your chance of natural seo traffic in big saturated niches as long as people are going to type that search with the term. If you want to get money than probably better off working on the site with seo and traffic to get a few sales and improve rankings. Then try to sell the site and domain then - income from affiliate sales would be just as if not more apprealing to a buyer than purely the domain name.
Way too long of a domain name, prob worth nothing more than $15 tops, unless you have some good SEO work on it and content.
