Okay I could not sleep tonight and i started playing around with the computer and reading on stuff and came up on domain names and their prices, So I started trying to see what I could come up with to see if it was registered. I started pressing randomly on the keyboard and what ever letters pop up I added a .com to it and check godaddy to see if it was registered. While playing and testing i came up with this DAFD... When I checked everything was registered except the .net.. so i did the only thing that was right and snatched it up. anyway. then I started researching domain appraisals and this and game to this site called leapfish and they appraised the .com of my domain at $10,478.00 Stats below Domain Name Appraised: dafd.com Combined Domain Name Appraisal Value Score: 338 Top Level Domain Name Score: 10 Unwanted Characters Score: 10 Length Score: 8 Archive.org Score: 30 Google Search Results: 0 Yahoo Search Results: 50 MSN Search Results: 4 Search Engine Score: 1 Estimated Domain Name Value: $10,478.00 However, what I bought was this the .net version. dafd.net Combined Domain Name Appraisal Value Score: 96 Top Level Domain Name Score: 8 Unwanted Characters Score: 10 Length Score: 8 Archive.org Score: 0 Google Search Results: 0 Yahoo Search Results: 0 MSN Search Results: 6 Search Engine Score: 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Estimated Domain Name Value: $96.00 Should I hold on to this domain or shop it around and maybe get a happy buyer??
I figured that be the case, but hey I am still going to hold on to this one for a keepsake because out of the over 50 domains i have it's the shortest one i have. I am going to sleep now. thanx people.
Foget about Leapfish or any other free online automated appraisals, total waste of time. Your domain consists of all premium letters & since it's a .net, I'd say you might get Low $xx
These software are not accurate. You can get results like for some high-value domain names that it cost only $10 and some other non meaning domains for $millions. There is no perfect algorithm. The best "algorithm" to estimate the value is the "future" buyer. If e.x. "Department of the Army Forward Depot" will definatelly pay a lot for that domain.
I totally agree. I think you'll get low to mid $ XX , but I certainly wish you to sell for that price you posted at the beginning of this thread !
