I have articles on my site

    articles are about 1000 words

I submit the same article to article submission sites

When i do i cut out a lot of sentences and submit them around 500 words

I dont change any words but lots of sentences are cut out

    Is this duplicate content?

there are multiple duplicate page checkers out there, but yes i would consider this duplicate content.

the pages are checked against specific words and phrases from one document to another, therefore even if you cut out sentences its going to have close to 100% of the same exact content on it

I cant post links yet, but if you go to google and search "Duplicate Page Checker" the top one is from webconfs and works great slap in two urls and go

    thanks for link

i did two of my articles one on my site and one on article submission site

it gave me 24% - whats the cut oof i heard it was 40% to be considered duplicate content

so if the duplicate checker says 24% and i did not change any words i am not considered being duplicate content correct?

well i guess its really an objective thing.

i personally would try to be under 10%, but if your comfortable with < 40 then you are looking very good.
