Is this considered duplicate keywords?

In my keywords list for Google Adwords, I list both 'dining furniture' and 'dining room furniture' in broad match.
Is this considered overlapping since this is a broad match. I mean, 'dining room furniture' also contain the phrase 'dining furniture' .

How about if it is put in phrase match? "dining furniture" and "dining room furniture". As far as I know, this is ok, but your suggestions are welcomed.

Also, if the keywords does not have any impressions (over the period of a week or so), do I need to remove them?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There may be some overlap but they are different phrases and should each get activity. Let em' run for a week or so then make a call on what you want to do with them.

You don't need to unless you plan on having thousands of keywords/adgroups and anticipate needing the account space.
