    :eek:

    Lets say that we have 20 websites - divide them into 4 groups A, B, C and D with 5 sites each.

    Now group A is linking to Group B (each site from group A linking to all five sites from group B), group B is linking to C, C to D, and D back to A.

    A => B => C => D => A

    So each site will have 5 sitewide links from previous group.

    Model can be done with longer chain or with more or less sites in a group but You can understand the idea.

    So is this concept are considered like link farming or can gain benefit with search engines.

    Thanks.

    i would rather have 2 big sites then 20 small. no offence but its not possible to manage 20 sites , add fresh content daily and keep it loaded with traffic and grow it at the same time.

    OK but we are discussing theoretically about this topic - it's not question of personal wishes :)

    Theoretically it sounds like a link farm to me. What's the exact definition, though? I ghave two sites; forrestcroce.com links to seattle-portraits.com. The first is my portfolio, while the second I'm directing at selling portrait services.

    It really makes sense for reasons that have nothing to do with Google ... which is the best way to answer the question.

    Also, how much rank can you really pass in a chain like that? You need some coming in from the outside world, to be able to divide up.

    You will definitely gain from your model. No doubt. Specially of you have sites on different IPs. But be sure that the sites linked to is kind of related in one way or another to the sites linked from.

    If the sites are on different IP's and actually pertain to one another in some way then I do not see a problem. Now if you have 5 sites on one IP, 5 on another and so on to where you only have 4 IP's then that could draw attention.

    im not sure traffic less sites would do any good, ill kill my personal wishes there. but yea strong back links and sites with good promotions surely can do well, just 1-2 backlink and a linkfarm no good.

    Theoretically it’s a link farming. However, it will work.

    To further improve this idea, I would recommend you to don't link D with A. You have to sacrifice on it and rather than to linking b/w A & D it's better to link A or D at some other sources for their external link building. This will increase the quality of your domains and the impact will show on all of your network.
