    Hello

I am new to these things so help me out. :D
Lets say I make a 10 pages website and optimize it with some keywords.
Then I add another 100 pages BUT not visible to visitors.
That is I make 100 page optimize with same keywords but the link to those pages are not visible. They are hidden.

Will this act as black hat method?

    Thanks for your time. :)

Ur question is bit confusing. If you add 100 pages targeting same keywords then might be you have same content. And if you have then google wud penalize you no doubt. If you has different content still it's against google terms to use same keywords for all pages.

But as you mentioned you have not given links any where. Then i wud say you are safe but adding pages are useless.

Means you are losing in both ways.

First, if google didn't find ur pages then it is useless and you wud not get any benefit from these pages.

Second, if your pages get indexed by google by chance(think) then you wud penalize to go against google TOC .

I just wanna know what is ur purpose of adding these pages and these page have same content? Then picture wud more clear........................

^indeed. If you add another pages but SE's couldn't find it.. it cant get indexed and can never be crawled by bots. it won't help then.

Ok lets say if I created 10 page with some keywords related to Music niche.
Then I would again create 100 pages with different set of keywords but related to same niche.
I will add links to those pages but will not be visible to users. Nothing illegal contents, but those 100 page will have some optimized articles only.

I hope you guys got my point. Maybe this has simple answer but hoping if it works.

    Thanks again

the question is, how is google going to discover these pages if they are not linked from anywhere on your site? You can certainly add them in a sitemap but they will not be important to google since they aren't linked from anywhere.

I couldn't understand your question too clearly but from the jist of it yes, it sounds fairly shady. What links to what pages? You've got to be more clear.

What your doing is called cloaking from what I read, your going to show visitors one page and search engines another, this is blackhat and very easy for search engines to detect.

I'm NOT the worlds foremost expert on the subject but if you are putting links on pages that visitors cannot see just so you can improve search engine results... I think google frounds upon that type of manipulation.

I think it might be a bit spammy, and you could get punished for it, depending on the content you put on there. I would be most worried about duplicate content and looking like you're using doorway pages. Remember, orphan pages are exactly that, and a human reviewer may notice that and find it shady. I would recommend against it, just to be safe. Find a good way to include it in your standard navigation.

if you're doing anything for search engines, and search engines only, not for visitors - then it's blackhat and you can be penalised for it.

(yes, a bit of a simplification, but true as a general principle)

    Ditto

With SEO you can use a rule of thumb that "hidden" means "black hat" pretty much...

hiding anything from a search engine is blackhat. I think you may be refering to doorway pages.
