    I have a website http://www.historyexplorer.net ... History Timelines and Articles ...

Problem is i will transfer all content to cms (snews) and completely rearrange it.
So all .html files will be gone ! Now site is alredy indexed by all search engines .... How will this affect my se positions ? .... is this wise to do at all .... ?

I have not attempted what you are suggesting but suspect the answer is yes. If pages change names or do not have same identical content I would expect a problem. You may can do something with .htaccess to avoid a problem.

I suspect you would need to do a mod rewrite. Hang around and someone with more knowledge than I will help.

Sorry someone has not come along that is familiar with mod rewrite. All that I have done with it is copy other's code. Nintendo has a sticky on the subject and there are some tutorials online.
