Hi, I will explain what happened to me first.

    - I launched my new blog 2 weeks ago with .net extension
    - 5 days after, my blog ranked very well in Google for niche keyphrase search.
    - 3 days after, my blog had been de-indexed from Google database without reasons, Nospam NO blackhat No cloaking/redirect page No duplicated content
    - 3 days after, I thinked my blog has been banned forever for sure so I registered new domain with .info extension and started to build a new blog, change pointed url from old to new one prepare new content. Waited to see my new blog got indexed.
    - 2 days ago, just submitted new site to some free directories
    - yesterday - set all link and prepare everything for new domain.
    - today - my old blog has back !! It has been indexed and come to google again but the new one don't get indexed yet.

My blog come back with plump down in ranking for keyword I was ranked #3 but in keyword that more popular that I was ranked #100 has been ranked #67 for now !!

I don't know if I should glad about this because I do seo for new site and the old one back, Actually I copied content from old one to use with new one because I think the old one had been banned, Google de-indexed my blog but now all 2 come back so I have to editted content in the new one and waiting new contents from my writer to use with. The good thing is, google did not indexed my new blog yet. However, I think I should use single domain and I decided to continue with .net and I just did 301 redirect for .info to .net

    I have questions
    1. Should I do both of them or redirect from new one to old one?
    2. 301 redirect from new one to old one has some bad side effect?
    3. All links popularity from new one will be transfered to old one?
    4. This method will be looked like spam in Se's eye?

    Please suggest me.

No reason to have two with the same content. Use the old one that you thought was banned and dump the info from the new and use it for something else. Then you can link to the original site from the new one, or something in that order. Google has been known to pick up a site and "dump it" a couple of times before you see it stay constant. Actually, its most likely you just saw a few different datacenters;one showing it indexed, the other not yet. Now they are synchronizing. Next time that happens use something like McDar to check a selection of datacenters before you go and purchase another site for something like that. Good luck!

Thank you very much, Kaptain. I used google banned tool and mcdar to check first but all my site completely de-indexed and disappeared :D I used 301 redirect for .info now and all of incoming links value will be delivered to old .net one

No it will not, pagerank is based on that page, not the one it redirects to. Though it may help improve the other ones rank.

Sorry, but I'm afraid you're wrong. Adam Lasnick stated that a 301 redirect will pass PR within ~2 weeks.

Redirect from non-www to www domain is done by puting puting below code in .htaccess file:

    Options +FollowSymLinks
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^example\.com
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.example.com/$1 [R=permanent,L]

    My question:

How can I do redirect just the oposite way: from www to non-www? Is it enough if I just switch example and www.example in above code?

Also how can I check if I have "mod rewrite enabled"?

Great thread. I need advice about a related problem. I've had a .net site for several years, PR 4. I want to start using a much better .com URL and transfer the site to that.

Do I use a 301 redirect from the current .net URL and how will it affect my page rank?

Any sage advice with your experience would be appreciated.:)

you only caused yourself headaches by doing all that you have done. you should have just been patient...If you had done some searching and reading on this forum you would have realized that new sites act irrational all the time, the rankings jump up and down and they get deindexed and reindexed all the time, especially the first month to 2 months.

Just get rid of the new version and point the url to the old blog. you should be able to do this through your control panel with a http header redirect.

Next time be very patient and wait a couple weeks to see effects from any SEO on your website.
