I read somewhere that after you post something new on your blog or website, you should always go to Google, search for what you just posted & click your own link. They said this gets your post or web page indexed faster. Is this true? Do you really need to take the time to go Google what you just posted & click the link to your site? Or is this really a waste of time? I just finished some updates on my copywriting service site. I pinged it, but do I need to spend time Googling all those different pages I updated, too?
I doubt this is true since Google can detect the IP address of the user. This is the same way Google prevents abuse from Adsense customers clicking on advertisers links in an effort to artificially get clicks.
LOL - how will clicking the pages URL in a search result help the indexing if the new page isn't even indexed?
@ m0nk3y -- Hey, I don't know. Just asking about what I read on someone's blog. His blog seems pretty popular, so I tended to think he might know a thing or two. However, I have never seen this advice ANYwhere else, so thought I'd ask the DP experts.
Google automatically crawal the comments and if it is useful commets then it also index its link.. Note- All comments in blog are not indexed by Google.
Lol - when do u experience it? I would simply say that it is just a waste of time.To index your blog faster you should submit it into various bookmarking sites.
Maybe my original question is a slight misquote of WHY the guy says he Google his blog posts. Maybe he's not trying to "get" it indexed: it must be indexed already if he can find it on Google in the first place. Maybe he was saying that finding & clicking his own posts kick-starts the process of giving the post a BUMP up higher on the SERPs. This could make sense, I suppose. If Google bot is judging whether a post is good enough for "someone" to click it, maybe it helps a tiny bit to go click it yourself?
What are you saying?? You can't find a thing on google until n unless it's indexed... so if it's already indexed what will you do by clicking it again & again??? Thanks
how would you find your post and click on it if it is not already indexed? if you have decent number of backlinks, your blogpost will be indexed in now time anyways. as long as you keep building backlinks, even if it is only to your main site, you wont need to worry about getting your individual posts indexed.
Okay then. Maybe the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Guess he's wasting his time Googling his posts and clicking them. Thanks. I now know not to waste me time this way.
>Note- All comments in blog are not indexed by Google.< ??? The comments are part of a webpage - of course are they indexed if the page is indexed!!!
