Is this an SE friendly way to link to affiliates?

    I've got pages with up to 20 or so different affiliate links and I redirect them using .htaccess something like redirect /out/affiliate1/ http://blahblah and then I add the /out/ directory to my robots.txt. Is this frowned upon? If so what is a better way to do it?

    I think this is fine in terms of SEO as long as the URL contains relevant information regarding the page :)
