My click tracking stats show that one person came through an article site and clicked the ads on my site 15 times. IPs are (some are even listed twice): 64.12.117.139 64.12.117.139 64.12.117.140 64.12.117.140 64.12.117.142 64.12.117.142 64.12.117.194 64.12.117.194 64.12.117.195 64.12.117.200 64.12.117.201 64.12.117.203 1 or 2 clicks per IP. Obviously they're in the same class, happened in the same hour, they appear to be AOL IPs. It seems like if it was one person clicking 15 times they would have all shown under the same IP address, instead of all these different ones. Would this be someone dialing in different times and clicking ads on my site? Why else would it show up like this? it's not logical that its 6 different people. there isn't enough other traffic to justify it. But no highspeed connection would change IPs this much, would it? Should I report it? My stats shows 15 ad clicks, google is currently crediting me for 4 of them.
Yeah, that's definitely invalid clicks. I'd just drop Google a line that you're aware that people are trying to click bomb you. It seems Google's system already took care of it, though.
Contact them, you'll just get a computer generated response but it's an attempt to show the click fraud wasn't done by you. Below is the URL to contact them. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py
Like everyone else has said, make sure to let Google know so they don't think you're part of it. I wonder why someone would take the time just to try to harm your account like this. Stupid idiots...
I use adsense tracker stat software by jonathanleger.com adsense gold maybe? not sure of its official name. Does it invite more attention to my account and deeper scrutiny to contact them? I'm truly not involved, but I also know they can be unforgiving even to the innocent. I can't afford to have my adsense acct closed and have always been so careful not to click my own ads or be shady. should i wait a few days and see if this happens again? maybe it was a stats reporting error or something? I hate drawing attention to myself, I'd always rather be a wall flower.
