    Hi Guys,

I have been told that if i have multiple domain names all pointing to the same one website that google will boot us off.

    Is this true????

    Cheers

If the domain are from different content for each domain I think you will have no problem otherwise google will pick up main domain name and will ignore others.

I don't see why you can't link your websites to each other as long as

the link and the content is relevant.

I have over 35 domain of mine pointing to the same domain, and google has not kicked me out yet. All your add domain will be crawled too, but all your domains will get the same PR of the domain they are pointing too.

Google won't boot you off but you can have a filter assigned to you.

Multiple URLs to the same content will cause a duplicate content issue.

Google will decide one URL to show only and filter out the other URLs. The problem will be that one site will have certain sections of the site indexed and the other URL will have other pages. Essentially the site will be split up into different URLs.

    Example 1

    domain1.com/somepage.htm
    domain2.com/somepage.htm
    domain3.com/somepage.htm

Same content different URL/ Google will 1 pick and filter the others.

    Example 2

    domain1.com/product.htm
    domain1.com/services.htm
    domain1.com/items.htm

    domain2.com/product.htm
    domain2.com/services.htm
    domain2.com/items.htm

    domain3.com/product.htm
    domain3.com/services.htm
    domain3.com/items.htm

3 domains that have the same content / google could possibly index

    domain1.com/product.htm
    domain2.com/services.htm
    domain3.com/items.htm

So you have a site's pages split between 3 domains. This could be bad or good. But most webmasters would want the main site to be indexed entirely and not split between other URLs.

Your best bet is to 301 all domains to the main domain.
